Significant progress has been made by industry and government in the first year of TT32 Phase 1 Implementation Plan, with 10 actions already delivered and overwhelming majority of actions underway and on track for delivery within timeframes.

  • 81 national business events funded by Convention and Exhibition Centre Economic Recovery Bid Support Program.

  • Round 2 of Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) Transformation Experiences Mentoring Program underway.
  • TEQ Global Marketing Strategy 2032 approved, to be delivered across six strategic priorities.

TT32 Phase 1 investment

As part of TT32 implementation, the Queensland Government is delivering on the Independent Tourism Industry Reference Panel's Action Plan for Tourism Recovery recommendation that government make dedicated investments across experience, infrastructure and event initiatives equalling $270m over the 10 year life of the Action Plan. To date, the Queensland Government has committed almost $260m in initiatives linked to Phase 1 of TT32.

Queensland's 200 million Joint Attracting Aviation Investment Fund, has secured 26 international airline services to Queensland, estimated to deliver more than 1.97 million inbound international seats, up to $1.67 billion in overnight visitor spend and support up to 18,936 Queensland jobs.
