We believe that partnerships between industry and government are important to build the Queensland economy, create jobs for the future, and attract investment, skills and talent to our state.

Queensland Tourism Industry Council
The Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC) represents the interests of Queensland’s tourism and hospitality industry. It’s a not-for-profit, private sector, membership-based organisation.
We work in partnership with QTIC to deliver initiatives that increase the capability of Queensland’s tourism industry, for example the Tourism Industry Business Capability Development Program.
QTIC is part of the DestinationQ partnership established between the tourism industry and the Queensland Government to deliver on key priorities that will drive growth and jobs in Queensland.
DestinationQ is a partnership between the Queensland Government and the tourism industry, focused on making Queensland the number one tourism destination in Australia.
The Queensland Government is represented by the department and Tourism and Events Queensland, while the Queensland Tourism Industry Council represents industry.
Tourism is critical in shaping the future of our state. DestinationQ partners work together to ensure our tourism industry is positioned to meet visitor expectations, and to identify priorities that will drive growth and jobs in the industry.
