The Queensland Government Eco-Certified Destinations Program has accelerated eco-certification in Queensland with 13 destinations awarded funding.

More visitors are choosing to visit Queensland national parks while on an overnight trip compared to during a day trip.

Declaring 2023 as the Year of Accessible Tourism in Queensland, backed by a $12 million package of targeted accessibility initiatives has accelerated the number of tourism businesses self-reporting as catering for accessibility needs.

Measure: Increase in the number of operators who meet the ‘accreditation’ criteria for BOQE Program
